Identify the number of petitions in the Our Father and what they are about.
Our Father, Who art in heaven
Hallowed be Thy Name;
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.
1 “Give us this day our daily bread” is asking for food and for things we need to survive.
2 “Forgive us our trespasses” is asking for forgiveness for our sins, for our wrongdoings and for us not being perfect.
3 “Lead us not into temptation” is asking God to help us not be tempted to do the wrong thing
4 “Deliver us from evil” is asking God to help us stay on the right path and rescue us from evil if we turn to the wrong path.
