Introducing Celeste

I have known Celeste my whole life. From the day I went to kindergarten right till this day. She was once my friend but now I consider her my best friend.

If you get to know her she’s really nice only ……..sometimes hahaha. But she can be shy but also  confident at the same time. She’s there when you need her, if you're down or angry, She can make you laugh and happy. If you’re new to the school she’ll include you, if she’s playing a game or just hanging about with her friends. She’s really amazing. She’s one of a kind. She’s really funny and she’s really nice. When Celeste get’s into her mode where she turns sadness to laughter, She can become someone else. Her jokes are hilarious and her eyes are funny as well when she laughs.

Celeste tells stories that will make you laugh your heart out. She can be a person with lots of kindness in herself. She cares for others, not just herself. She’s really cool to hang out with. She says things that are weird and crazy but turns out to be funny. She keeps secrets and doesn't blurt them out to other people and create rumors. She has a HUGE mind that has a lot of imagination and creativity. She’s a really good persuasive person. She’s good at writing and all the other subjects at school.

At school Celeste will distract you to make you laugh but then it’s worth talking to her and laughing with her. She can be serious sometimes but mainly cool.

So if you want to hang out with Celeste, Sure, Just make sure she doesn't bite YOU!

In reading this article I have been learning to combine close  reading and inference skills to analyse text to learn more about the qualities of people known as heroes or leaders.

What kinds of things did Kathleen Hall do?

Traveled freely to help those in need even  though she had to go through dangerous journeys and even if her life was on the line.

What kind of person was Kathleen Hall?

She was a confident, strong, courageous missionary nurse, who would do anything to save a person’s life.

What did Kathleen Hall believe in?

Kathleen believed in God also she believed in helping people.

Kathleen Hall was a person who didn’t like war nor did she want to chose sides. She was a person who was Christian who believed in helping people in China and other places. She faced challenges that made her stronger, confident, courageous and a brave missionary nurse. Kathleen was determined to help people and she was a person who wanted to succeed in life.

In room 8 we had a task set out for us. We had to persuade our teacher and the class why we think reading is important? We turned or persuasive writing into a speech.

• Opens doors about information you didn't know.
• Lets you learn more words.
• Extends your learning.
• Makes you get jobs that you need.
• It makes you interested when you read it.

I believe that reading is important because it is the main thing you have to know in college and the other main subjects that include reading is English, Writing, Reading, Maths and Science,  all five subjects includes reading and also gets you jobs that pays you a lot of money.`

Firstly, reading is important because it extends your learning by adding new words and also opens new doors to information that you didn’t know. Reading helps you get more jobs because in all jobs you have to read because if you want to be a doctor then you have to read a lot of paperwork because there are a lot of people that get injured. When you have nothing else to do you can  get a book and read, as you read along you start to get interested in  the book and makes you want to finish the book but then you have to do something else. It also makes you understand more words that you didn’t know the meanings to.

Secondly, It is important because almost all books have information about animals and surviving, those kind of books are important in case you get lost in the woods. It helps you with your vocabulary and with words that you need to learn how to spell or say. When you need help with something then you can just grab a book and read about the topic that you needed help with.

Thirdly, reading is important because when you need help with your work that the teachers give you then it’ll be okay because you can always get knowledge from a book. Reading books helps you learn more because there  are books that help you learn sign language so you can translate with someone you know that needs help. Reading is important and fun because when you read a book you can get some ideas off it and make up your own.
