Cute but Deadly

Cute but deadly!

WALHT: Identify key ideas and use them to write an information report.
Spiders are an eight legged creature that also referred to arachnids (Jointed legs.) There are a lot of different types of spiders, one of them can glide, trap, produce strong web and even hop!

Most of the spiders lifespan is 1-3 years long! After the spider mates with the female, she then consumes the male. The female then poops out the eggs and fertilizes it and waits for it to hatch. Then the babies will be separated from their mum. But a wolf spider will carry her young ones at her back which the babies will consume her as they get older.

Spiders use their webs as a tool to catch their prey! They feel when a prey has been caught in his trap because the hair on their legs feels the vibration. Most spiders inject their venom into insects which melts them from the insect like a slushie and eat them later.

There a lot of unique spiders. They use it to their advantage, like the Darwin’s barking spider, which produce the strongest web that is capable to be made into a bullet proof vest! The trap door spider burrows into the ground and stays there until food comes by and steps where he burrowed into the ground. He/she can feel the vibration of prey coming by because their hair feels any vibration. They open the burrow and pulls their prey inside the burrow.

Goliath Bird Eating Spiders live up to their name because they eat birds! They are opportunistic spiders because they stalk at them and attack when the time is right. They live about 15 to 20 years long! These spider are also recorded to be the biggest spider that exist in this generation.

Most of the deadly spider like, Black Widow, Funnel Web, Brazilian Wandering Spider and the Brown Recluse only strike when they feel threatened once you get to know them they are nice. Remember spiders are scared of humans as we are to them.
