The Time Travelling Prince.
Once upon a time a prince named Jake and his father and mother lived in a castle in Portland. It was the 1000th year anniversary of the castle. It was at this anniversary that the King and Queen ended up kicking Jake out of the castle because he deliberately destroyed the feast, simple because he couldn’t get what he wanted.
He walked along the nearby street, thinking about what he could do. Unbeknown to Jake, his was being watched…. stalked. A tall young man wearing a hat that covered his face and a dark brown full length coat, lurked in the shadows. The stranger crept out and grabbed Jake by the arm and dragged him to a mysterious machine. He explained why he needed him, it was to know what his ancestors were like with his DNA.
The man put Jake in the DNA analyser to start time travelling to reveal his ancestors secrets. The man took a sample of his blood and extracted it into a tube which allowed them to select a time of date for time travel. The man chose to go to the year 1601 to meet his ancestor Aradma.
Everything seemed different. The castle was made of cement instead of bricks, the people are wearing clothes made of fur instead of cloth and the food was different too. In this time the King (Aradma) was a very bad person and who stole property from his kingdom = thinking only of himself.
The mysterious stranger, told Jake that he’d seen all he needed to see/ It was time to go back in time again to the year 1351. to see Manfeir. Their arrival was similar in the way that everyone was once again different from the previous journey. King (Manfeir) was an even meaner person! He whipped whoever questioned him, he sent peasants to a visit dangerous places and he executed anybody who disobeyed him. Jake thought to himself “Do I want to be like my ancestors?” “Do I want to be a bad person?” The man said. “It’s time to go back home, because I sort of angered the king.”
The knights burst through the door on horses and Jake and the man ran as fast as they could on foot. When the man and Jake were almost to the time machine, the knights almost caught up with them. the man said to Jake “They’re after me so I will run through the forest and back to lose them.” So the man ran very fast around the forest and he lost them.
When he got back they time travelled back home. When Jake saw his mum and dad he apologised saying.“I’m sorry for destroying the feast.” At that moment the man burst through the gate bringing the biggest feast ever. that was more than fit for the ‘King’. The man said “This is Jake’s ‘I’m Sorry’ gift to you.” The kingdom had a great feast and a good time, also Jake learnt that he can’t get everything he wanted and if he did he would end up a bad person and they lived happily ever after….
A great narrative with a message to finish. Well done Glen.
